Synopsis: Following a major environmental disaster, the Klingon Empire seeks peace with the Federation. The USS Enterprise is sent to meet the Klingon leader, but he is assassinated, supposedly by Federation forces. Kirk and McCoy are convicted and sentenced to a Klingon penal colony. Meanwhile Spock attempts to rescue them and uncover the real assassins.
